Greetings everyone!!!!!!

If you’re getting this we are excited to announce that we are starting to sell our creations and launching our business known as Loomie. Anything you can imagine: Samantha and Katie can create from knitted scarves, baby hats, hats, ear warmers, blankets, pillows, etc… If you have items in mind please just send us an email at SnKLoomie@yahoo.com and we will let you know if the item can be made and price range that you would be looking at which would include supply cost, time, and shipping (if the item would need to be mailed). Our most recent order consisted of a Dr.Who Scarf replica, which is based on a popular show that has aired for many years on BBC America. The scarf measures 20 feet long and has a variety of colors. More information can be located at:

Christmas Approaching

xmas

Picture by: me (Samantha Cooney) taken with Nikon D70 edited in Snapfish

Twas the night before Christmas celebrations and,
What thoughts did it bring?
My mind said to me,
Why not have a huge food fling?

There were pies in the oven,
M&M's in a jar.
There were snacks for the party,
And booze in the bar.

No! I'll resist the temptation,
I will keep a strong head.
I'll not eat a bite!
And I climbed into my bed.

When out of my stomach,
There came such a roar,
I sprang from the bed,
Landing flat on the floor.

Away to the kitchen
I flew like a flash.
Swung open the door of the fridge,
To do something RASH!

A light from within,
Gave off such a glow
To the objects of food,
Laid on the trays there below.

I was going to grab
An odd goodie or two
When into my mind
Came my promise to you.

Before I could have
Any snack food to eat,
I must put on my coat
And get on my feet.

I got into my coat,
My warm gloves and shoes
Determined to walk
For the goodies I'd choose.

The moon on the top
Of the new fallen snow
And on houses and trees
Gave such a sparkle and glow.

As I walked down the street
My mind did recall
The words that we'd spoken
At the Weight Watchers hall.

Of meetings through which
I ambitiously sat
For words of encouragement,
To shed this fat.

I spoke not a word
When my walk was done.
I felt so renewed,
I knew I had won.

I  walked past the kitchen
Without turning my head.
I smiled in the mirror
As I headed for bed.

And I said to myself
As I turned out the light
With my mind, will and body,
I have fought the good fight.

Happy Holidays to you and all a goodnight.

Wedding Card Cake

dsc_05461

Wedding Card Cake is almost complete. Okay, so some of you may be wondering..... what in the world??? Well, I got this whole idea from Chris's sister, Jessica. She made one for her wedding, and it seemed like a great project for me to do for my own. It was simple, just placing 3 hat boxes on top of the other and decorating the hat boxes. The hardest part was the cutting. The very top box has a slot cut in it big enough for a card to be inserted into that box. The other boxes also have the cutting so the card will go all the way to the bottom hat box. My cutting was rough, LOL, but I was able to save anything cut out of the lines by decorating the boxes.  The last box keeps the lid on top of that one in order to get the cards out of the card cake. I'm not satisfied with the decorations yet.  I want some ribbon to drap around the last purple layer, so it resembles a wedding cake look. I love the Cats on the middle layer, that is all going to tie in with the "Save the Date" cards. Thank you to my beloved talented artist friend, Jenny Elkins.
The cats are a Bride and a Groom, and I think they go perfect with the Wedding Card Cake. The colors are pretty much our wedding colors. They are a dark purple (aka Lapis) and a orange.  The very top of the Wedding Card Cake we have a little note on it, so everyone knows what it is when it is on the gift table at the shower and wedding reception. I feel accomplished that I finally completed something in a way. It makes me feel like I am really getting creative for my wedding. I'm thinking about making the bouquets and invitations also. It will be a busy time, but that way I can save tons of money and create something that I really love. Sometime soon, I may need to recruit help because I may get down to the deadline. So many things to do, but so much money it seems. Pacing myself on everything may be key.

Bridal Makeover

dsc_06304

My first Bridal Makeover was a success I would have to say. The Bride was very pleased with her look. It was a random and busy day last weekend, but I was able to get everything accomplished. The feeling I had when she was going down the aisle was priceless. I thought.... "WOW, I just completed  beautiful look for Jennifer." I was pleased with the results. In the future, I hope to schedule more Bridal Makeovers.

Ryleebug Charity Ride

dsc_0390 Thank you in advance for everyone that gave me permission to photograph this event. It was a huge success and a great turnout. Rylee has Mitochondrial Disease, this affects the body's ability to turn food into energy. She has had several mini-strokes that have left lesions on her brain affecting her ability to walk, talk, and most other fine motor skills. This event was to help to raise funds to help with Rylee's medical costs and to help her family. I did get verbal permission from Rylee's family to post these on my site.

Thank you everyone whom made it out that day!

Extra images from the day can be viewed in the photos section of this site on the sidebar under "Ryleebug's Ride"

If you are interested in purchasing some prints please send me an email at: sammiedo26@yahoo.com

Hey Jude

heyjude1 This picture makes me laugh and the night made me realize at the end of the day, the person in your life and good friends is what matters. Tom and Kayla's Wedding made me look at weddings in such another angle. Maybe, it was just because Chris and I had a few moments with the bride and groom after everyone left and it was just us four at the reception site.
Those few moments made me realize.... it is about us. It's about Chris and I, and things will go wrong but after the ceremony and reception is over it is still us. Thank you Tom and Kayla for having us there. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful wedding.

Kizito is a great place to find beautiful necklaces that are created from magazines, newspapers, and beads. I was amazed by these since I work at a newspaper. There was also huge cookies that were sold there. The prices were great. The website can be located at www.kizito.com. Feel free to check it out, you can even order cookies. YUMMY!!!!

LPIN Convention

Wayne Allyn RootI went to Clarksville with Chris for the LPIN Convention. He did such a great job. The hotel was beautiful with a heated pool, lake view, workout gym, huge conference rooms, etc... It was great because Jenny and I ventured to places here and there throughout the convention, and I had the best time. I forgot how fun I could have with other ladies. We chatted about tons of things. She made me see a lot, not only everything that is outside of Indianapolis but also some advice here and there. I loved that because it has been so long that I have even gotten advice. Sometimes, I feel like I give myself advice. So, I want to go back to venture through some things in Louisville, Bardstown, etc. It was a blast.

Wedding Season

dsc_02371 YES, I think it is wedding season.... Everyone I know is getting married. Everyone! Maybe, it's just my time to be part of it all... At Whitney and Brian's wedding, I helped out with some make-up for the brides-maids and then just shot some of my own pictures here and there. This one I love :) It is random, but I loved these little goodies on the tables at the reception. It did make me think a little maybe just maybe it's not my time. I am by no means a crazy obsessed person whom wants to get married like all those gals on the Style channel. I do, hope and wish that one day it would happen, what gal wouldn't. I have came to the realization, that maybe its not my time. I don't even talk about it anymore instead I am getting it all out in this post.

It's hard seeing everyone go down the aisle and wish someday it would be your turn, but it's a scary thing. I know  a lot of people that mention things here and there, then I think wow if it didn't last with them how could I do it differently...  Then I think.... hummm if I can get 3 people to show at a Mary Kay Party for a Debut of launching a business then why the big deal meaning I don't think I would want a lot of people there. It does hurt when you plan and plan and hope people show, but then they don't. It makes all the stressing before the day make you think... was all this worth it? I know, you are all thinking come on people would show. The facts are people have their own lives and no matter how much you drive yourself crazy the people that show are the true people in your life.

So, small then semi-casual at a reception would not bother me at all. I just want everyone that I care about to try to make it. I will tell you, I'm scared to death about this whole new thing I have began with Mary Kay. I love the products, love them, but it is tougher than I thought. I am hoping for more parties of course. It's amazing really just having little get togethers here and there whether it is skin care, color, bridal, facials, etc... I am just really glad that I was able to help out at Whitney's Wedding. It made me have some hope about this whole Mary Kay opportunity I am involved in.
